Celebrate The Good

This painting was created to commemorate the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. There is hope, there is are new ways forward. Based on an acrylic and collage painting I started and then scanned to my iPad.

I wonder ...

Still exploring the language of hands and feet as well as bit of perspective distortion. This goddess has a flower child vibe and earth goddess effect. Long and tall and skinny 18" x 36"

Do I look alright?

Painted in Procreate on an iPad. A glimpse of an intimate and a little vulnerable, private moment a young woman. 16" x 24"

I Got You Sis!

These two have taken a journey together and seem to be comforting each other. Either a loss or an event that has upset them Again the process of the painting brings a different spin to their story and who they are. I love the glow of their white dresses. For me the white dresses symbolize their youth and future potential. 18" x 24"

Is the water warm?

This is my second painting based on the Do I look alright drawing. I wanted a full length figure to show off some distorted perspective on her feet. My colors make It feel like summer, a lovely warm day at the beach. We have all been this lovely goddess at the beach I am sure. 16"x 24" *Note : this will print to size as a paper print

Let's Fly Way - paint

My woman reading tries to capture the unique experience a good book will give us the readers. We can be transported to different worlds in the pages of words. She is sitting in her happy spot, in a different world. 20"x 26"

Listen

My beautiful girl is transported to a calm place - she listens to her inner voice. In the process of painting I needed to calm down all the strong ink lines of the drawing. I wanted to convey her inner peace, and the softness that has resulted in the painted version have been successful I believe. 20" x 26"

Wish You Were Here

The paint helps bring this story to a bolder conclusion. From the colors, to the pose to having some of the original ink drawing still present in the art. Painted on my iPad. These art works were created to be 16" x 24" for bigger impact.

I Am Sure

With her amber eyes she stares out the world. Full of confidence and self assurance. A continuation of my 'goddess' art and now incorporating the language of hands This painting is a 'mixed' media digital piece in that it has both acrylic, charcoal, and pastel combined. You can still see parts of the original ink study of hands showing through as added texture in the background
