A smattering of my photos of animals while on Safari in Tanzania
Thirsty lions
This pride of lions satiated their thirst after gorging on an early morning kill. They are still covered with their meal and some mud too.
Immersive meal
Having had their fill, these lions wandered over to the road where we were parked and had a long drink from a rain puddle then flopped down to rest. For cubs it is an immersive expwrience. Look at that fat tummy!

Wildebeest
A muddy face - caught on camera in Ngorongoro Crater
Tree Hyrax
A grumpy face in a huge tree. Our guide Kumbi spotted him and pointed him out, we would never have seen him without his sharp eyes. These guys are related to the elephant
Hippo Eyes
We stopped for our morning picnic at the Hippo pool while in Ngorngoro Crater. The pool was full of hippos. My eye view of them
Wildebeest Migration
Part of the never ending migration of mammals on the Serengeti plains - there had been a lot of rain, so deep waters to negotiate
Young Wildebeest
Two youngsters crossing some fairly deep water. Part of the never ending migration of mammals on the Serengeti plains
Eland
Caught out in the midst of Wildebeest and Zebra, this lone Eland!
Say What?
My Cape Buffalo looking rather disgruntled at being disturbed while having a drink.

Young and old
The older zebra still has some red hair left
Zebra crossing
The migration is quite difficult to photograph. This is what happens when a bunch of Zebra and Wildebeest decide to cross the road. On the road to Serengeti
A little spotted cat
The Serval is a shy cat, so we counted ourselves lucky we had two different sightings of this elusive spotted cat. This one was pretty wet from the early morning dew

Hyena and his shadow

The Leopardess
We had spotted this leopardess and her cub the day before. We happened by first thing in the morning and caught them both in the grass mucking about and heading to their favorite tree
